Our ProjectsMacquarie University Central CourtyardThe project required a combination of construction disciplines and rigid site co-ordination. Due to the location of the project, Carfax required stringent co-ordination of the works which included a combination of out of hours work and continually shifting the construction site to facilitate access ways and thoroughfares for students through this highly trafficable area of the University. The project involved 3000sq metres of specialised concrete paving works, 400 metres of ACO grated drains, extensive sewerage drainage, stormwater drainage and electrical services. The coloured concrete finish had a decorative abrasive finish with over 2.5 km of both structural and architectural saw cutting. During the project Sydney experienced extremely wet and adverse weather conditions which put pressure on the project’s timeline. Carfax worked through these conditions to meet our client’s deadline which was their graduation ceremony.
