The refurbishment of the Private Club in Elizabeth St in the city, provided new amenities and facilities for the club, whilst maintaining the original heritage details and visual amenity of the club.
The works were staged over 3 x levels, so that the club could remain fully operational over the entire construction period.
Level 4 works consisted of the demolition of existing facilities and the introduction of 4x new hotel bedrooms and ensuites, in addition to a Tea Room/Kitchen for staff.
Level 3 works included the relocation of the Club Secretary and associated offices from Level 2 to Level 3 and the introduction of a new mechanical system to the Macquarie Room and new offices were built.
The works completed on Level 2 works was the refurbishment of the Private Club function area and introduction of a new bar and Butler’s Pantry as well as the relocation of the library, Drawing Room and Sitting Room, and Powder Room refurbishment. New services included a new mechanical air duct system, Fireplace (restoration of original, and new), Hydraulics system, operable wall, and new lighting and security system.
The Private club has also been fitted with new painted wall and ceiling linings, new carpet, timber and tiled floors and new Joinery.
