Cherrybrook Technology High School New STEM Building

Carfax Commercial Constructions has recently completed construction of the CTHS Stem (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) building. This recent upgrade to the school’s campus has delivered 8 new learnings spaces, 4 general science learning classrooms, 2 STEM specific laboratories and 2 science laboratories.

This STEM building will allow students to expand their skills when designing, creating and conducting experiments in an environment catering to all skill and experience levels.

This new upgrade consists of 2 new buildings connected via lift, stairs, and compliant accessible ramps.

The Ground Floor consists of two science laboratories and a Science Prep Room equipped with fume cupboards for students to perform high level science experiments.
Level 1 boasts two STEM Rooms with a separate STEM equipment room equipped with a 3-D Printer and Laser cutting machines.

The Upper Ground Floor includes 4 General Learning Spaces which can be separated by two large glazed operable walls.

The construction of these spaces internally, consists of a combination of carpet tiles and vinyl to the floors, acoustic Autex pinboards and interactive Promethean digital boards to the walls. The science rooms have been provided with laboratory grade joinery finishes, whilst the ceilings are fitted with a high-level acoustic ceiling tile. A ducted mechanical system is also installed throughout the building.

The building is wrapped externally with a combination of brickwork/tiles and a heavy duty framed Vitrapanel cladding system, with a commercial grade, double glazed window system.
