External and internal refurbishment to a Heritage Cottage owned by National Parks, to be used for holiday letting. Works included:
- upgrade of electrical and hydraulic services, and installation of new mechanical services
- removal of asbestos linings,
- new kitchen and bathrooms,
- restoration and replacement of external timber work to match original,replace termite damaged flooring with new hardwood flooring to match original heritage timber species and sizing,
- restoration of heritage door and window hardware,
- new ceiling linings to match original,
- repairs to original lathe and plaster internal walls
- sanding and sealing of heritage tongue and groove flooring
- new Tallowood decking to front and rear house verandahs,
- exposed aggregate driveways and the restoration of the hardwood picket fencing and gates
- external landscaping
The project was carried out in a live environment within an extremely busy park precinct.
