SHORE Stage 5 Boarding House Refurbishment

Extension of the School House Boarding House to accommodate a new kitchen, laundry and accessible WC along with an external deck area; provision of air conditioning to entire Boarding House including three private residences; upgrade of the Boarding House courtyard including replacement and upgrading of the existing stormwater system, new sandstone crazy paving, off-form concrete retaining walls with timber seating and extensive soft landscaping.

A key element of the extension and the courtyard works was the provision of DDA compliant access into the building which previously could not be accessed by wheelchair.

The works were completed entirely over the December/January school holiday period which was also heavily impacted by the COVID-19 omicron strain with extensive labour shortages.
